Hunting Horn
DONATE to The Museum of Unusual Instruments (using the button below)
Donations will go toward the purchase of additional "unusual" instruments as well as toward our goal of opening a physical museum where people would be able to not only see and hear the instruments, but actually get to try and play them.
(Note: Donations our collected by our host company, Auberg Instructional Innovations, under the care of Jamie K. Auberg)
Hunting horns were, traditionally, of course, used for hunting. They were and are used to communicate with the hunting hounds as well as with other hunters. Historically, the horns can be broken down into three types:, 1) animal horns, in which the hunter blows through an actual horn from an animal to make the horn calls; (2) Curved and Circular Metal Instruments, and (3) Small, short, straighter metal instruments (English hunting horn).
